I love incorporating my pride in my African heritage into my personal style.
Currently, I don't have too many pieces, so I try to utilize the few that I do.

OOTD: Teaching Style

I am going to begin student teaching in a few weeks, so I will be probably sharing a few of the outfits I wear in the classroom.
I try to keep it simple and professional.

ootd throwback: NY trip

the boyfriend and I took a trip to NY back in march.
i found these and thought we were cute. 

his outfit: all polo everything (insert eyeroll), he's so loyal lol

mine: skirt-gap, sweater-old navy, tank-forever 21, bag-mommy got it from mexico

hair: very old flat-ironed hair in a bantu-knot out

if you continue to read this blog, you will probably eventually come to the conclusion that I'm a party animal.
that's not entirely without truth.
i am a fan of having fun with my friends, and i figure i'm still young and cute, so i may as well live it up.
i wore this to a bar the other night. only took one appropriate cute pic. :)

i am one lazy girl sometimes when it comes to styling myself, especially when it's super hot. 
i just look at all my clothes, and pick out the comfiest looking thing.

Bag: That bag don't even match, lmao what was I thinking? but it's ann taylor.

hair: the best weave i've ever had. 
Fruit: My mandatory party plum. I like to keep at least 2 on hand when I party. I get hungry after all the dancing, and it's handy.

OOTD: Graduation Outfit #100000

I have seriously attended soooo many graduations this season it's ridiculous.
I'm so proud of all of them, congrats class of 2012! *I can't wait to graduate next year, man.*
Here's what I wore to my little sister's high school graduation.


Sidenote: I felt mad awkward taking these pics, but I'll get over it soon. hopefully. Also, I'm not the biggest fashionista. My style is pretty simple. So I'm probably not going to knock your socks off, but whatever. I'll share anyways, lol.
